Sam Martucci

Sam Martucci, “Cat Man” 86, of Manchester NJ, passed away on Thursday April 23, 2020 at Community Medical Center, Toms River, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ Sam had lived in Newark until moving to Manchester 13 years ago. Sam was a US Army Veteran who was proud to serve his country. Sam worked for the Essex County Police Department retiring as a Sergeant after twenty five years of service.

Sam enjoyed going to Atlantic City where he loved to play his cards especially three card poker. He also belonged to the GOP club in Newark where he also liked to play cards with his buddies.

Sam was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Patricco, Theresa Napoliello and Carmela Lanza. Surving are his loving wife of 60 years Nancy (Andryshak), his loving children; Samuel Martucci and his wife Andrea of Oceanport, NJ, Bernadette Pereira and her husband Paul of Brick, NJ, Debra Porter and her husband Frank of Old Bridge, NJ and his devoted grandchildren; Paul, Ricky, Joshua, Bianca and Samuel and his great granddaughter Ava. Also surviving is his sister Anna Tortoriello.

Due to the circumstances a Celebration of Sam’s life will be celebrated at a later date. Cremation will be private.
