Upon marrying the love of his life, Mary, he became a professional singer. He pursued his successful career as a performer until the birth of his sons took precedence over his love for music. Being present for his family was always his priority. He retired to Toms River, NJ where he became famous once more as the senior choral director of his community chorus. For nine years, he also directed community members as well as starring in Broadway-like productions which he thoroughly enjoyed. Bringing people together to love life was one of his many gifts. Sal and Mary celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary this past April and their union served as a beautiful example for his entire family.
Besides his living wife, Mary, he is also survived by his four sons, Frank, John, Thomas and Philip and his daughters-in-law, Eileen, Mary and Carol. He had eight grandchildren, Thomas, Sal, Stephen, Jennifer, Josephine, Christopher, Andy and Ava as well as 11 great-grandchildren. Dad, Grandpa and Pop were all the titles used to refer to the man who loved with all his heart.
