I knew Sal only for a short time and found him to be a warm, friendly man. We only saw each other on Christmas, Easter holidays and had wonderful times together. My only regret that I did not know him longer. R.I.P. Sal

I will always remember you. for the past 11 years I loved hearing stories about the Army and WWII. I will miss all of the stories and tales that you told. I loved watching you use the yo-yo and hear you play the harmonica, you were always so good at it. I know that I am a very lucky boy to have spent so much time with their great grandfather. I love you Gramps.

Dear Gramps,
       I am so grateful and blessed to have had you in my life . I have a childhood rich with memories of our family. Growing up on 65th street my most incredible memories include the time we spent in the basement, with you playing the piano and John and I  playing backup Maracas. I will always think of you when I hear Dean Martin. your favorite book to share with us was Stuart Little, and you loved to quiz me on who the author was. my last quiz from you was 7 months ago! the answer is E.B. White, I still remember Gramps! Wednesday afternoons when John and I would have half day dismissals from school, our lunches at OP2 pizzeria and handball at Strickland park were the best. you discovered secret beaches in the Rockaways and took us fishing. you drove me and my friends to high school and would drop me off on the corner of the block so that I could look cool. thank you so much for being such an incredible part of my life. I love you so much and I know you are playing the piano and singing in heaven with the angels.

Mr Sal I miss u already, we use to talk about the Miltary and you would say to me Thomas give me some of your Muscles when I would bring in the water 4 u, your daughter and son inlaw is taking real good carevof Mrs Pauline, and im.there Back up, miss u and love MR SAL 

I have a fond memory of Uncle Sal when I was up visiting him and Aunt Pauline in N.J.    At this point in time Uncle Sal was in his early 90's.   After visiting at the apartment Uncle Sal wanted to show me their clubhouse, so he got into his car and we drove to it.   Not only did he give me a tour of the clubhouse  but we played a few games of pool in which he won a game!   But that's not all.  He took me to the music room and he played the piano!! Uncle Sal  was self taught, having a musical ear.  I will always remember the smile on his face as he played.  I'm sure he and my Father are making beautiful music in Heaven!!!

In the short time I have come to know Sal, I found him to be a warm wonderful man. We spoke about our Army days, albeit, 6 years later for me. My regret was that I did not know him longer. RIP, Sal

You have always been such wonderful uncle to me.  I will always remember your funny jokes and amazing sense of humor.  You will forever hold a special place in my heart.  I love you and will always cherish  my memories of you.
