On Tuesday, May 8th, 2018, Heaven welcomed another angel, Ruth Elaine Fielding Rowe, 98, of Beachwood, NJ. Joyously, Ruthie and her beloved Freddie were reunited. Ruth was born and raised in Bloomfield, NJ. She married her childhood sweetheart, Frederick in 1942, and became a Gold Star Widow in 1945. Ruth was the Court Clerk for the Bloomfield Police Department. She retired in 1983 and moved to Beachwood.
Ruth is survived by her loving children: Frederick Rowe III and wife Bessie of Eads, TN, and Terry Peck and husband Thomas, with whom she lived, in Beachwood, NJ. Also surviving are her adored grandchildren: John Rowe and wife Julia, Paul Rowe, Thomas Peck, William Peck and wife Kimberly, James Peck and wife Carol, and Robert Peck and wife Marissa; and her great-grandchildren, who were her “dear little angels”: Victoria, Brandon, Jason, Mallory, Candice, Allison, Madison, Matthew, and Charlotte. In addition, she is survived by her sisters-in-law Jean Bradley and Barbara Fielding, as well as many nieces and nephews. She loved her family beyond measure.
She was predeceased by her husband Frederick Rowe Jr, her parents, Bessie and William Fielding; her sisters: Doris Carley and Bessie Lavenburg; and her brothers: William, Theodore, and James Fielding.
Visitation will be Monday, May 14th from 4to 7PM, with a funeral service at 6:30PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation will be private.
