Russell P. Cook, 61, of Manchester, NJ passed away on Thursday September 11, 2014 at St. Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he was a lifetime resident there until moving to Manchester 34 years ago. Russell was a vice president of human resources at Comcast Inc. in Oaks, PA for 13 years retiring in 2013. He was a communicant of St. Luke’s RC Church, Toms River and a volunteer of their St. Vincent de Paul Society.
Russell was predeceased by his father C. William Cook and his brother Dr. Thomas Cook. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Regina Walsh Cook; a son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Jacky Cook of Springfield, NJ; a daughter, Jamie Cook of Manchester; two grandchildren, Khloe and Brodie; his mother, Julia Cook of Toms River; two sisters, Dale Cook of Hackensack and Jill and her husband Josh Matthews of Sparta, NJ; nephews, John and CJ and many other nieces, nephews and loving relatives.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 2 to 6 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 15th at St. Luke RC Church, Toms River. Cremation will be private.
