Robert J. Plucinski, 69, of Toms River, passed away on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Hampton Ridge in Toms River. Born in Perth Amboy, he resided in Moline, Il, moving to Toms River in 1980. A civil service employee, Robert worked in logistics management for 17 years before retiring from Fort Monmouth in 2012. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a faithful member of St. Barnabas Church in Bayville. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.
He was predeceased by his father John Plucinski. Surviving are his beloved mother Freida; his brother Mark; two nephews Michael and Brian; his aunt Enid Burgess and her husband Peter; and many caring cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Barnabas Church, 33 Woodland Rd, Bayville. Military honors and burial will follow at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown.
