Robert Diehl, 74, passed away peacefully at home on Mon, Feb 9. Born in Scranton PA to Fred and Muriel Diehl, Bob moved to Toms River, NJ in 1963. He is predeceased by his brother Fred Diehl of Toms River and sisters, Muriel Mulherin, Jean Howey, Lois Arndt all of Scranton and Joan Culbertson of Pendleton, Oregon. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen Zimmerman Diehl, two sons, Robert of Newark, De, and Keith and his wife Lynn Diehl of Toms River, four grandchildren, Alexa, Lindsay, Cady and Brayden Diehl of Toms River, sister Janet and her husband Patrick Phillips, Scranton and and several nieces and nephews. He retired from Toms River Chemical Co. as Supervisor after 35 years of employment. He was a past fire chief of Toms River Fire Company #1, served as coach and President of Toms River Little league and was a member of Re-organized Church of Latter Day Saints, Scranton, PA. A viewing will be held Friday, Feb. 13, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM until the funeral service at 8:30. Cremation will be private.
