Robert Frank Charette

The son of Francois and Frances Charette. He was born June 6, 1939 in Jersey City, N.J. Robert grew up in Kearny, N.J. He attended and graduated from Kearny High School in 1958.

At the age of 19, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserves, then went active reserves for two years. He was stationed aboard the USCGC Macknac in Staten Island, N.Y. With in two years, Robert rose to rank of Quartermaster Second Class.

Following his honorable discharge, Robert attended and graduated from the RCA Institute in Newark, N.J. with a degree in Engineering. In 1963, after graduation, Robert went to work for NJ Bell Telephone company, as a planning engineer. Now known as Verizon. Robert eventually retired in 1993 and took on the role as an international consultant. Robert was quickly hired as a telecommunication consultant: First to the Puerto Rico Phone Company, followed by the Italian Phone Company.

Robert is preceded by both parents Francois and Frances Charette: and son David Charette. Robert is survived by his wife Eileen of 55 years; his daughter Kathleen; son Daniel; his two granddaughters Shanel and Roxanne: 10 great grandchildren: and 2 great great grandchildren.

A visitation for Robert will be held Monday, July 3, 2023, 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Justin the Martyr Church, 975 Fischer Blvd, Toms River, NJ 08753. Cremation will be private.
