Robert Avalone passed away suddenly and went to be with his lord on January 17, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born in Belleville NJ on April 9, 1952. He is predeceased by his father Michael and his mother Janet Avalone. He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mary Avalone. Lovingly remembered by his son John and daughter- in-law Danielle Avalone ,daughter Renae and son-in-law John Cribbin, daughter Michelle and son-in-law Kevin Wilson, step daughter Jamie and son-in-law Rich Cioffi, step son Scott Dupont, brother Richard and his wife Kathy, sister Phyllis Patricco, grandchildren Kaitlyn Avalone, Jake Avalone, Luke Avalone, Casey Cribbin, Aaron Cribbin, Riley Cribbin, Aiden Wilson, Charleigh Wilson, Parker Wilson, Logan Cioffi, Jack Cioffi, Cole Cioffi, Brandon Dupont, Emily Dupont, Sarah Dupont.
Robert began his career in 1972 with the Presidential Unit of the U.S Marine Corps, where he was responsible for security at the Capitol building and Camp David. When he left the Corps, he worked for the Newark Police Department, where he remained for 18 years, retiring as a detective. While there, he also worked as a corporate vice president of the national home electronics chain Nobody Beats the Wiz. After 18 years with Nobody Beats the Wiz, Robert retired and with his wife, Mary started the detective/security agency in Brick, Senica Security and Investigation.
Visitation will be held at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home Friday January 22, 2021 at 3:00-6:00pm
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at St. Justin the Martyr RC Church in Tom's River Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River.
