Richard J. Kulesa, 69, of Erial, NJ, passed away on July 3, 2018. For the past three years, he resided at the Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland, NJ. Richard was born in Newark, NJ, and graduated Bloomfield High School in 1967. He played baseball in his youth throughout high school, college, and while in the military. Richard proudly served his country for 34 years in the Army, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard, retiring as Master Sergeant. Richard lived his life with integrity and grace. He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed cooking with his daughter Kate, discussing music with his son Rick, and watching sporting events with his son Sean.
Richard was predeceased by his parents Chester and Josephine Kulesa of Bloomfield, NJ. He is survived by his loving wife Bridget N. (Harrington) Kulesa; and his children: Richard L. Kulesa of Erial, NJ, Sean Patrick Kulesa of Erial, NJ, and Katie L. Fanslau and husband Jonathan Mark Fanslau of Haddonfield, NJ. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Constance T. Fanslau, Sophia T. Fanslau, and Juliet J. Fanslau; his aunt Florence Jezuit of Olyphant, PA; and his cousins: James Malone and wife Nancy of Dunmore, PA, and Richard Kulesa and wife Cathy of Fairlawn, NJ.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 10th, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, and Wednesday morning, July 11th from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River. Burial will follow at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Richard’s honor to Stand Down of South New Jersey.
