Peter Mauro

Peter Mauro, 97, of Toms River passed away on Monday July 6th, 2015 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Hackensack, NJ he resided in Paterson, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1995. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving from 1942 to 1946, where he served in the medical corps. Peter worked as a Supervisor at United Hardware Store in Paterson, NJ for many years. Peter enjoyed reading and playing cards and visiting with his family. Surviving are his sister Josephine Fiorilla of Piscataway, NJ. Also several nieces and nephews including Lorae Roukema of Southern Pines, NC, John Fiorilla of Cinnaminson, Linda Mauro of NY,NY, Diane Reck of Leland, NC, Richard Mauro of Clifton, NJ, Jayne Mott of South Plainfield, NJ and Raymond Mauro of York Pa. . Visitation will be Sunday July 12th, 2015 from 12-4pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered on Monday July 13th, 2015 at 12:30pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the New Jersey Veterans Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ.
