It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of Paul W. Miller, Jr, a respected and loved member of our community. Paul was born on June 21, 1947, and lived a fulfilling and impactful life until his death on August 3, 2024. He was a resilient pillar who, despite the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Carrie Miller, held his head high and went on to live a life devoted to those who loved and cared about him.
Paul leaves behind a legacy that is both tangible and intangible, in the warm and loving memories of his children and grandchildren. Survived by his daughter Michelle Ujhazy and her husband Tony, his grandsons Anthony and Michael Ujhazy, his son Paul Miller and his wife, his granddaughter Kamille Miller, his grandson Kael Miller, his beloved cat Murphy, countless lifelong friends, many nieces and nephews, his daughter Diane and her husband, his son Scott, and his other two grandchildren, Sophia and Joseph Miller. He imparted the importance of family, which he held as a critical value throughout his life. His legacy, "Family is the most important thing", will continue to resonate within his family and the community.
A dedicated father and grandfather, Paul found joy in simple pleasures. His favorite recreation was having lunch with family, a testament to the family man that he was. Always willing to showcase his vibrant personality, he had a special place in his heart for oldies music, all things nautical, and action movies. He spent many years golfing, fishing, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, and although predeceased by his loving sister Helen, they spent many years enjoying beautiful lighthouses and finding little shops to explore. His fondness for home improvements and landscaping over his lifetime was a huge source of expression, he truly took pride in anything that he cared about.
To celebrate Paul's life and the immense impact he had on everyone around him, a Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, August 9, 2024, 4PM -8PM at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home. We kindly invite friends, family, and all those who were touched by Paul's generosity, kindness, and spirit to join us as we honor him and say our final goodbyes.
Paul W. Miller Jr. will be profoundly missed, yet his influence and love will continue to be experienced through the familial bonds he strengthened and the values he propagated. The void left by his departure is considerable, but the love and unity he fostered will help heal those affected by his loss. We take solace in the memory of his presence and the privilege of having been a part of his life. While this time for those of us left behind will undoubtedly be filled with immense sadness, we take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his loving parents Paul and Agnes Miller, his sister Helen, and especially the love of his life, his wife Carrie after missing her for 21 years.
