Patricia Ann Myres

Patricia Ann Myres was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 1, 2015. She was the beloved first born daughter of Charles Moses Parker, Sr. and Deborah McCloud Parker. She was born in Lakewood, New Jersey on February 11, 1951. Patricia was raised in Toms River, New Jersey where she resided until she departed this life.

Patricia attended Toms River High School and worked her entire life providing loving care and assistance to the sick and elderly in the home healthcare industry. Her last employer before becoming ill herself was with BP Senior Care in Lakewood, NJ. She was a very hard worker and touched the lives of many people who all considered her a part of their family. She was truly loved by everyone and will be sorely missed.

Patricia was a member of Second Baptist Church of South Toms River since 2004, where she also served as an usher. She was a charter member of the Maggie G. Hills Temple #1308, I.B.P.O. Elks of the world and many auxiliaries, joining in 1979 when the Temple was organized.

Patricia was the beloved mother of 4 sons Darnell, Shawn, Sean, and Kristian Myres and 1 daughter Tanja Thomas; a grandmother of 19, and a great grandmother of six. She loved, loved, loved her family and friends! Pat met no strangers and all of her lifelong friends and new friends were all considered her family! She was a great cook and fed everybody! No one left her home hungry. She also opened her doors to many who needed a place to stay and she has several “adopted” children and grandchildren. Her heart was as big as the planet and she would give you her last and go without herself, before seeing a loved one without. If she had, you had! Pat was always the life of any gathering and she surrounded herself with her beloved family and friends until her last breath!

Patricia is preceded in death by her son, Darnell Myres, mother Deborah Parker, brother Charles M. Parker, Jr., and sister Kimberly Parker.

She leaves to cherish wonderful memories her father Charles M. Parker, Sr. (Elizabeth); her children Shawn, Sean, Sr. (Brenda), and Kristian Myres, and Tanja Thomas (John); her stepchildren LaToya and Andre Brown, and Kandace Thompson; her grandchildren Anthony, LaToya, Shawn Jr., Latasia, Sean, Jr., Adajee, Teaira, David, Jezmir, and Xavier Myres, Rashad Blackshear, Alisa Davis, Ernest, Shaquille, and Mariah Cannon, Sylvi Adorno, Jaylene, Haley and Nevaeh Claggett; great grandchildren Elijah McIntyre, Johnny Washington, III, Promise Myres, Lorenzo Adorno, Duke Myres and Tayvon Johnson; her brothers Jeffrey (Andrea), Kevin, and Keith (Violetta) Parker; her sisters Nina Claggett (Warren, Sr.), Eleanor and Alicia Parker; aunt Alice Boykins; god daughter Danielle Clark, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many cherished friends.
