Norma J. Oram, age 87, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 surrounded by her family at Complete Care At The Havens. She was born in Lakewood, NJ to the late Herbert and Amy Luker, settling in Toms River in 1957 where she lived most of her life raising her family.
Norma graduated from Lakewood High School in 1954 where she was captain of the softball team and was voted most athletic her senior year, soon after attending many courses at Ocean County Community College concerning her Real Estate profession. Later, passing her Real Estate course and working for various agencies, one of them being Weichert Realtors for 30 years, retiring in 2000. Aside from work, Norma was a member of the Presbyterian Church before becoming Catholic and the Deborah Hospital Foundation since 1981. She also is a former member of the Suburban Club along with the Women's Council of Realtors.
Norma was an all around very helpful and giving person. She loved to read books and play games, but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her loving husband Edward in 2003; Her brother Herbert C. Luker Jr. in 1983 and is survived by her three loving daughters Debra Fesen (Michael), Nancy Applegate (Stanley), and Barbra Cain; Her six grandchildren Matthew, Christopher (Alison), Kaitlin, Nicole, Stephanie, and Kellie.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 4-7 PM at The Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
