Nancy Gagliano passed away in the early morning hours of Saturday, August 19th. Nancy was 70 years old. A mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many, Nancy will certainly be missed. Nancy grew up in Springfield, New Jersey and is pre deceased by her parents Jack Schwartz & Marie Schwartz. She is survived by her daughter Shoana Terra-Nova, her son James Gagliano, her son Daniel Gagliano, three beautiful grandchildren Katharine, Madeleine & David and four siblings. A Bay Head and Point Pleasant resident for many years, she was known by many as the former Editor of The Leader, The Observer, and former publisher of Shore Times Publishing. She also worked for many years at Jenkinson's in various roles. Nancy was a lover of travel, writing, reading, riding her bike and spending time with people who shared a similar biting sense of humor. As a former Bryn Mawr student and "Age of Aquarius" survivor, Nancy despised labels & was a unique force never to be ignored. Nancy loved words and their intentions. She coupled that love with a great attention and appreciation to beauty. This combination describes someone hard to define, fiercely independent, driven and remembered vividly. Love and Peace from your three "only children" - SJD.
There will be a private family memorial. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Brick Animal Shelter.
