

Morgan D. "Bud" O'Meara, 85, of Toms River, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010, at Deborah Heart & Lung Center, Browns Mills. Born in Bronx, N.Y., he grew up in Brooklyn and resided in Old Bridge before coming to Toms River 1971. He retired from the Department of the Army after 26 years of service, and then worked for the Lighthouse Point Marina, South Toms River for many years. He was a Navy Veteran serving during World War II.
Predeceased by his wife, Veronica A. O'Meara, in 2006, he is survived by two sons and two daughters, Kathleen Mejia and her husband Carlos of Delaware, Morgan O'Meara of Forked River, John O'Meara and his wife Christine of Monroe Township, and Patricia vandeVliet and her husband Marcus of Delaware. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren, Colleen and John O'Meara. Carlos Mejia, Sarah Domorod, and Nicole and Natalie vandeVliet; and three great-grandchildren, Abigail, James, and Joseph.
Visiting will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, with a prayer service at 8:3 p.m. at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral, 703 Main St., Toms River. Cremation will be private. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.andersonandcampcell.com.
