Mildred L. "Pud" Newman, 101, of Beachwood, passed away on Monday, June 25, 2012 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born and raised in Toms River, Pud lived in Beachwood since 1962. For many years she was a bookkeeper for Hecht Brothers in Toms River. Pud was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Toms River. She enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her brothers, Art "Snap" Newman of Pt. Pleasant and Charles "Jake" Newman of Beachwood; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Margaret Stone, Charles Newman II and Kyle Osiecki.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2012, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Toms River.
