Mildred E. Hansen, 91, of Ortley Beach, died Sunday, February 27, at Rose Garden Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Toms River.
Born in Jersey City, Mildred had lived in Matawan before moving to Ortley Beach in 1976. Mildred was a parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Seaside Heights, and an auxiliary member of the Ortley Beach First Aid. She was also an avid bowler for many years.
Predeceased by her husband John J. Hansen in 1992, she is survived by her sons: Richard B. Hansen and his wife Eileen, of North Carolina, and David J. Hansen and his wife Sharon of Toms River; and her daughter Marilyn Gilbert and her husband Tom of Greenville, Maine. She is also survived by nine loving grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial to celebrate her life will be held Monday, March 7, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 100 Grant Ave. Seaside Heights.
