Michael A. Ocello, 75, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Thursday September 1, 2022 at Complete Care at Arbors in Manchester, NJ. Born and raised in Hoboken, NJ, he lived in Jersey City before moving to Toms River 6 years ago. Michael worked as a dispatcher for Wakefern Inc. for over 40 years retiring in 2016. He was a former President of the St. Lucy Society in Hoboken and also was the former Financial Secretary for the Knights of Columbus Council #159 in Hoboken.
Michael was predeceased by his brother Carmen Ocello. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Elizabeth “Betty” Santa Maria Ocello; two daughters. Tina Kearney (Kevin) and Michele Roche; two sons Michael Ocello Jr. and Patrick Ocello (Jessica); two sisters, Carmella Gaeta (Joseph) and Phyllis Demma (Joseph); one brother Anthony Ocello (Carol); his grandchildren, Joseph, Ryan (Amber), Rebecca, Kevin, Natalie, Nicholas, Oliver, Archer and Ruby and his great-grandson Vincenzo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday September 6, 2022 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday September 7, 2022 at 12:00 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. Entombment will be private at Holy Cross Mausoleum in North Arlington, NJ.
