Mary Nuzzi

Mary Nuzzi, 81, of Tom River NJ passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, November 9, 2023. Born Dec 15, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, Mary was raised by parents William and Ellen Hennigan and predeceased by her brothers, Patrick and Billy. Mary is survived by her two sons, James Dimlow and wife Kristen of Sammamish, WA, and Alan Dimlow of South Windsor CT, along with two grandsons, Billy and Henry Dimlow.

Mary graduated from South Park High School in Buffalo, NY in 1959 and with a sense of adventure, joined the Navy where she was stationed in Maryland until 1962. After the Navy, Mary raised her family in Vernon, CT where she became an LPN nurse and worked at Fenwood Manor Convalescent home in Manchester, CT until 1989. Mary then married Nicholas Nuzzi and moved to Toms River, NJ in 1988 where she continued her nursing career at Holiday Care in Toms River until 2012.

Mary loved to travel, spend time with her friends, play games, volunteer on the community ambulance team, was active with the Navy WAVES #68 and of course loved to shop! She was an excellent cook.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, November 17th at 12:30 p.m. at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery 350 Provinceline Road Wrightstown, NJ 08562. Please arrive at cemetery by 12:15 pm.
