Mary Merone

Mary Merone (nee Ford), 95, of Toms River, passed away on Saturday November 11, 2017. Mary was born in New York City to Rose and George Ford. Her parents owned and operated the family business, Fords Bar, in the Hell’s Kitchen section of New York City. After closing their business the family moved to Brooklyn. Mary married Joseph Merone and they had three sons, Ronald, Glenn and Richard Merone. Mary retired from AT&T after 32 years service and moved to Toms River.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph Merone; her sons Ronald and Glenn Merone; her brothers James and Thomas Ford; her grandson Robert Merone and her daughter-in-law Linda Merone. She is survived by her son Richard Merone; her daughter in law Meg Merone; her grandchildren Jennifer Gilbert and her husband Timothy, Jonathan Merone and his fiancé Kristen, Glenn Merone an dhis fiancé Sebi; her great grandchildren Timothy Jr., Danielle, Chase, Autumn, Robert and JR; her sister Rose McKenna and also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday November 19, 2017 from 4-8 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 20, 2017 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River, NJ. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn, NY.
