Marie Carmella Farfalla

Marie Farfalla, 81, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on January 18, 2017, at home with her loving family by her side. She was born in Nutley, NJ, and lived in Florida and Manahawkin before moving to Toms River 20 years ago. Marie worked in the nursing field at Southern Ocean County Hospital and Community Medical Center for many years. She loved to cook, and especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.

Marie is survived by her two sons: Joseph Farfalla, and David Farfalla and his wife Kristin; two daughters: Gina Farfalla and Denise Kociban; her grandchildren: Jessica, Miranda, Anthony, Bobby, and Christina; her two brothers: Joseph Valotta and Fred Valotta and his wife Carol; her sister Antoinette Bergamino; and her extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8PM at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday at 10AM at St. Mary’s Church, 747 W. Bay Avenue, Barnegat, NJ 08005. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park in Toms River. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in Marie’s name to the J. Phillip Citta Regional Cancer Center at Community Medical Center, 99 Highway 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
