Marie Y. (Martorano) D’Andrea Of Toms River, Formerly of Jersey City passed away at Green Acres Nursing Home in Toms River on Friday November 26,2021. She celebrated her 100th Birthday on September 16, 2021. Marie (Mary) was born in Jersey City to parents Domenica and Nancy Martorano. She was raised in Jersey City and remained a devoted resident and parishioner of Holy Rosary Church before moving to Holiday City with husband George D’Andrea in 1984.

Marie loved cooking and tending to her family and extended family. She and George raised three sons, Anthony, George Jr., and David in their Jersey City home. No occasion was too small or too large for her to skillfully prepare her finest Italian dishes for all to enjoy. She performed volunteer work at Holy Rosary Church in Jersey City, and was a valued staff member for the Holy Rosary 75th Diamond Jubilee Celebration. Marie worked for Verizon before retiring in 1986.

She is survived by her sons, Anthony and his wife Anne Marie, and David and his wife Angela Baratta; devoted grandson Christopher and wife Jennifer, and their son Vincent. She is also survived by her sister-in law, Mary D’Andrea and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 1 pm to 5 pm on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Wednesday December 1, 2021 at St Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery 56 Cedar Grove Rd. Toms River, NJ 08753.
