Maria Frances Gallicchio

Maria was born to Anthony Gallicchio and Maria Rosa Strazzela February 11th, 1953 in Vallata, Italy. Maria migrated with family from Italy to the United States in 1955. She was raised Catholic in Elizabeth NJ and graduated from Battin High School in Elizabeth, NJ in 1970. Maria was a single mother of four children (her pride and joy) and leaves as her legacy: son, Micheal, daughter Natisha and spouse, Joseph, daughter Alicia, son Randall and 12 grandchildren, Kianna, Alyssa, Kaylee, Angelina, Aaliyah, Angel, Randall Jr., Bella, Gabriel, Mckayla, Jeremiah and Alinna.

Maria also leaves in her memory her best friend/sister of nearly 65 years, Linda and Lindas family, Son Frank who she loved as her own and Franks spouse Lisa, their 2 children, Frank Jr. and Victoria.

Maria is also survived by, brothers, Frank and Carmine and 13 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her Father Anthony, Mother Maria Rosa, Brother Vito, Brother Nunziante, nephew John Dominique and many other loved ones she considered family in addition to her precious family Labrador dog Sandie, who she loved dearly.

Maria’s family were her pride and joy, she was an amazing, kind and generous woman with a heart of gold and a beautiful soul. Her resilience and strength were unmatched by another and she was a champion of her own life. She gave her entire life to her children and grandchildren and all are deeply effected by her loss, their patriarch and pillar. There are no words for the heart break her loss has left behind for her children and all who loved her. She will forever be greatly missed.

Maria’s wish was to be cremated. A viewing for Maria was held at Anderson and Campbell funeral home 703 Main Street Toms River, NJ 08753.
