Margaret “Kelly” Werth, 79, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at her home in Toms River. Born in Jersey City, she moved with her family to Toms River in 1973. Kelly was a devoted wife, loving mother and a proud “Nana” of four grandchildren.
She was a parishioner of St. Joseph R.C. Church Toms River, a member of the Rosary Altar Society, and served as a co-President of Monsignor Donovan PTA. What Kelly loved most was spending time with her family, whether it was a shopping trip with the girls, Sunday breakfast, or most especially on their many trips over the years to Disney.
Kelly was predeceased by her loving husband of 47 years, Jeffrey Werth, her parents, William and Mary Flanagan, a sister, Elizabeth Deegan and her husband William, her brother, William Flanagan, brother-in-laws Herbert Werth and James Cogan, her niece Debbie Werth, and her in-laws Herbert and Kathryn Werth. Surviving are her three daughters; Kellyanne Murphy and her husband Thomas, Mary Russo and her husband Joseph, and Kathleen Nesteriak and her husband Stephen. She is also survived by her four grandchildren; Kati Dennis and her husband Jeffrey, Shannon Lynch and her husband Paul, T.J. Murphy and his fiancé Emily Raynor, and Christopher Nesteriak, along with her sister, Maureen Cogan, sister-in-law Lorraine Werth, brother-in-law Gary Werth and his wife Kathleen, and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St. Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Kelly’s life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, 685 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
