Lillian Wasserman

Lillian M. Wasserman, 77, of the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 25, 2021. Born in East Orange, NJ, she lived in Union for many years before moving to Berkeley Township in 2016. She had retired as an assistant deli manager after 32 years of service at Pathmark, last working at the Pathmark of Montclair.

Lillian is survived by her husband of 32 years Marvin Wasserman; her sons Robert Kehl and his wife Kim of Rockaway, NJ, and William Kehl and his wife Sonia of Sarasota, FL; her daughter Julie Gerten and her fiancé Len of Roselle Park, NJ; William, Robert and Julie's father William; her step-sons Paul Wasserman and his wife Leslie of Spotswood, NJ, and Mark Wasserman and his wife Abigail of Guilford, Ct ; her stepdaughter Denyse O’Rorke and her fiancé Steve Pecoraro of Sewaren; and her 17 grandchildren along with 4 great-grandchildren.

Lillian is remembered for her smile, her loving personality, and her kind and caring heart. Lillian could be frequently seen walking everywhere in the community. She was always in great spirits, fun to be around, and loved being with her family. She mentioned from time to time that she missed her own mother, and the two are now reunited in heaven. Lillian loved her grandchildren, going on vacations to the Outer Banks, and cruising every year around the Caribbean.

Viewing hours will be held from 4 to 8 pm on Monday, November 1, 2021 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08757. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Rd, Toms River, NJ 08753.
