Born in Newark, he lived in Irvington before moving to Toms River.
Lester was an Air Force veteran and worked at St. Paul's before retiring in 2003.
He is predeceased by his son, Joseph Porzio and his daughter, Barbara Porzio.
Lester is survived by his wife, Magdeline Porzio; his son, Les and his wife, Sharon; his daughter, Paula and her husband Joe; his sister, Carol Blasi; his grandkids, Courtney, Ariel, Shawn, Joey, Kristin, Anthony, and Tommy; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Adelyn, and Gianna.
A memorial gathering will be held on April 17, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 1329 Rt. 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755.
