Lena Rapiti Di Pasquale

Lena Di Pasquale, 89, of Rockaway passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010 at St. Claire’s Hospital in Dover, NJ. Born on August 7, 1921 in Perth Amboy to Angelo and Maria (Messina) Rapiti, she lived in Danbury, CT and Toms River before moving to her daughter’s home in Rockaway.

Mrs. Di Pasquale was a homemaker who enjoyed playing bingo and canasta and going to the casinos. She especially loved spending time with her family and making Aglio e Olio with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Di Pasquale was predeceased by her husband Renato and her son Robert. She is survived by her daughter, Annette Monti and her husband Dennis of Rockaway, her five grandchildren; Michelle, Robert, Jr. and Franklin Di Pasquale, Dennis Monti and Debbie Amicucci. She is also survived by her four great-grandchildren; Dominic, Xavier, Kaylee and Nicholas.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 29th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Joseph RC Church in Toms River. Entombment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River.
