Kim D. Blume

August 27, 1946 - July 30, 2023

BEACHWOOD It is with deep sadness that the family of Kim D. Blume announces his passing on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Kim was born in Plainfield, NJ and graduated from North Plainfield High School in 1964. He worked several years as a bank teller and for an armored car service. He then began his career as a sworn officer with the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department of Corrections, He was a member of N.J. PBA Local 258 and a member of the Ocean County Emerald Society - Law Enforcement Officers. Upon retirement, Kim continued working for several more years with his lawn care service in Ocean County.

In his younger years, he spent his weekends at the beach in Point Pleasant surfing with his Plainfield friends, He was a huge Giants fan. Win or lose, he was the happiest when they won. Kim was an animal lover and devoted to his two pyrenees and golden retriever.

Kim was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Winifred (Rafferty) Blume and his daughter, Stacey Blume Hildick. He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Bonnie (Nycz) Blume of Beachwood, son Dennis, NJ, sister Pamela Terry, niece and nephew, great niece and nephew of Florida. He also leaves behind many loving immediate and extended family members and life long friends in NJ.
