This photo was taken in March 2018 during our visit to the Musée Picasso in Paris. I met Kevin in Paris in 1985 when his was student at the American College. I will never forger his enthusiasm, his kindness, his loyalty and his joie de vivre. Rest in peace my friend. Francis.

I will truly miss Kevin.  As the APSI director he was quick to help in any situation by making sure all our APSI websites were correct and current.  He was instrumental in our APSI being the best that they are by his dedication and guidance.  He will be forever missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Kevin's unexpected passing last week. As the Program Director for Operations at AP-TIP and an APSI Director who had the privilege of knowing and working with Kevin for several years, I always valued his generous support of our program, his steadfast advocacy for APSI Directors, and his sharp wit.

The loss of a son, husband, brother, uncle... is a profound sorrow, and I extend my heartfelt sympathies to each of you.

Kevin was always knowledgable with a profound interest in history. Time spent with him was always heart warming and culturally entertaining, from playing the piano, to brief history walk throughs of cities and monuments. Kevin was an old soul who had taught me many things, especially how to be curious!

Almost 40 years ago, when I moved as a College Student from Switzerland to NYC, I met Kevin by chance in downtown Manhattan. I still remember this situation very clearly. From the very first moment I was very impressed by his interests in european history and culture, by his incredible French language skills and his openess and down to-earth nature. We became good friends and for a short time we were roommates in a flat in Fort Greene / Brooklyn. I also had the pleasure of meeting his very kind and charming parents at a Thanksgiving Dinner at their house. After I moved back to Switzerland, we kept in touch over all the years and when I visited NYC with a friend three years ago, I met him and Marius. and Kevin led us on a architecture tour through lower Manhattan. And again I was very impressed by his knowledge of NY architecture and history.  I never would have thougt that this would be the last time I met Kevin. Dear Kevin I miss you very much and also the good memories from back then. Marius, my thoughts are with you and I wish you strenght and confidence in this difficult time. My deepest and sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Meade. I met Kevin on my first College Board APSI meeting in New York, he was full of life and always encouraging. There was never a time when Kevin didn’t do a checkup or reminder.

Kevin Meade was an incredible leader and colleague. I was dunked into the deep end in 2023 when my site's APSI Director left her position only 2 months after she hired me as her assistant. We had spent my time under her training me for my other duties - not APSI. Suddenly I found myself the Director of APSI at Meredith College with no experience, minimal knowledge, and a lot of anxiety. Kevin changed that for me entirely. He was patient, kind, and guiding. He made the transition so much easier, and became somewhat my mentor during that period. To hear that this incredible man has left us breaks my heart deeply - He has had a profound positive impact on the world and will be remembered by many as a guiding light in this field. 

My heart goes out to his family and friends who knew him even closer, because he made a profound impact on me in a short time, I cannot imagine the size of his impact on those closer to him. Stay safe, and warm, hug one another, and know that he was beloved by the community he built.

Kevin was truly a remarkable person. His warmth, generosity, and unwavering willingness to help brought a sense of comfort to everyone around him. I had the privilege of meeting Kevin at a Cvent training in Chicago, IL. He had a lasting impression during our time together. I still cherish an email he sent me back in 2018, applauding my accomplishments as the "Cvent Queen." After I published our Cvent account, I was so nervous for Kevin to check it for accuracy, and when I saw his number come across my phone, I was scared I had done a horrible job and completely failed the launch. Contrary to my thoughts, Kevin was personally calling me to tell me what a fantastic job I had done. This simple act of picking up the phone was Kevin. I knew him for a short time, but in that time, I knew he was a special human! I will remember him fondly and hold his family and friends in my thoughts. I am so sorry he didn't get to enjoy his retirement. I am sending so much love and strength to everyone who loved Kevin. Something he would say that I will always remember is "don't fret." Sending peace and love. ♥

We had the opportunity to work with Kevin during his years at the College Board. He was clear, focused and knowledgeable. We will miss him greatly at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Through his work, Kevin touched the lives of thousands of teachers every year. 2025 is the 31st year of our AP Summer Institute. Kevin was a part of our institutes for many of those years.

I had the privilege of working with Kevin across several years through his position at the College Board. He was always a strong advocate for the work we did to support AP teachers and their students, and will be dearly missed.

The WaltonAPSI team is saddened today with this news. We met Kevin during the initial Cvent roll-out training in NYC years ago, and have benefitted from his knowledge and leadership ever since. Kevin provided us with opportunities to expand our reach to AP teachers. He helped us all pivot to online APSIs with the pandemic and encouraged us to excellence through his many online and in-person trainings and meetings. We will remember him with gratitude and appreciation for his dedication to AP and the work of APSI.

The APSI program at Auburn University will certainly miss Kevin Meade. What made him so great to work with over the last 2 years was the fact that he was always available and ready to help. Any concerns we had while working the APSI program were readily alleviated.  He was always prepared, so we were always prepared.  RIP.

I have directed AP Institutes for 20 years, and I can say that when Kevin became a part of it, everything was so much better. He was knowledgeable and dedicated. He always responded quickly and thoroughly to emails. He was an excellent Director! He will be sorely missed in every realm of his life.

I'm so sorry to hear this news! Kevin was our contact at College Board for our AP Summer Institute at the University of South Florida. We always loved working with Kevin--a consummate professional and a great host when we would visit the College Board offices in New York. I will never forget the way Kevin would sign an email, "I trust the above is clear and complete." Perfection.  Peace and prayers to Kevin's family. He will be missed by all of us at USF!

I am saddened by the news of Kevin’s passing. He was still so young.!!
I worked for Kevin as a Group  Rail & Tour Consultant during his career at Rail Europe. 
What was striking to me about Kevin is that he was extremely bright but also very relatable, a hands on kind of Boss who took the time to listen to you and value your opinion.  He was extremely protective of his staff and always encouraging.. i know that he left a great impact on many of us who worked for him. Thoughts and prayers to All his loved Ones!!
