He was Born and raised in Fairview, NJ and attended Cliffside High School. He earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Accounting and Finance. Joe was successful in many careers including computer consulting at NYU. One of his passions was supporting adults with developmental disabilities. He created a non-profit organization called Options Imagined that serviced many families in Northern, NJ.
In his younger years Joe was involved with the Drum and Bugle Corps. He was a member of the Hawthorne Muchachos. Joe loved music and travelling and he often took the road less traveled.
Joseph is survived by his wife Donna Marsico DeSimone; his sons, Gregory and his wife Jennifer and granddaughter Amelia of Landing, NJ and Matthew of Somerset, NJ; his sisters Maria and Stan Kropiewnicki and Domenica Kropiewnicki, step daughter Rebecca Campbell of Toms River; stepson Keith and his wife Jessica Campbell and step grandsons Shay and Luca of Washington, D.C.; and also cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Angela DeSimone.
A celebration of life for Joseph will be held Monday, January 6, 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 with a service at 2:00 pm.
