John B. Petersen Jr.

John B. Petersen Jr., 67, of Beachwood, NJ, passed away on October 29, 2020, at home. He was born in Lakewood, NJ and was a lifelong resident of Beachwood. John was a General Contractor who owned JDS Petersen Builders building homes all over New Jersey since 1973. He was an avid fisherman and gardener who often made delicious meals for everyone with his fresh catch or pick. He cherished his time with his family and enjoyed every moment spent with his grandchildren. John had a huge heart and always offered his help to others.

John was predeceased by his parents John and Marie Petersen. He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl Petersen; his sons John III and Daniel and wife Tina; his daughter Sara; and his two cherished grandchildren Gavin and Addyson. John is also survived by his two brothers Steve and wife Mari, and Eric; his sister Mary Ann Cilento and husband Tony; and his extended family and friends.

Visitation will be Monday, November 2, from 3 to 7 PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. The Funeral Service will be at 5:30 PM.
