John B. Monteleone, 89, of Berkeley Twp., passed away at home on Sunday, May 10, 2015. John was a lifelong resident of Newark before moving to Holiday City at Carefree in 1979. He was a veteran of the US Army having served in WW II. He worked for General Electric Co in Springfield for 20 years retiring in 1980.
John was predeceased by his wife Maria Mary Monteleone in 1994. He is survived by his daughter Catherine Cooper and her husband Tom; two grandchildren, Denise Maria Gazzara and her husband Christopher and Thomas Andrew Cooper II; and a sister Angelina Volpe.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday May 14th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday May 15th at 9:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River. Entombment will follow at Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ.
