John and Family, I was saddened to hear of John's passing. I found out on February 1st after I sent a Happy Birthday text, as I have done for the past few years. I received a response later that day from John's daughter, Jane. She asked how I knew John? I told her that John faithfully visited my husband Frank, every Saturday, who was in a nursing home. My husband passed away on October 22, 2021, and I remained in touch with John through texting. Jane texted back saying that she remembered John telling her about Frank. She then said "Unfortunately, Dad passed away on January 18. His funeral was the 23rd. I'm surprised you didn't hear about it around the clubhouse." I live a few blocks from John, but I am not one for going to the clubhouse, so this was the first I've heard of John's passing. Sending my sympathy to his family, he was such a kind-hearted man, I will miss texting with him!

Sending condolences for Uncle John.  He was a great storyteller, we will miss his antics and funny sense of humor.   We have fond memories of time spent in New Jersey with him and were fortunate to have so many times  in California when all the aunts and uncles could be together.  Rest in peace ❤️

I was so sorry to hear about my Uncle John.  I remember him as having a great sense of humor and someone who always wanted to help others in any way he could. We enjoyed it very much when he took us fishing when we visited New Jersey in the 70’s. I appreciate that the funeral mass was on u tube so that I could at least attend remotely. It was also nice to see my cousins, some of which I haven’t seen in a long time. God bless Uncle John.

My uncle John lived 3000 miles from us and so we didn’t get to see him all that often. But each visit was memorable.  His sense of humor stellar.  I remember being a a young high schooler and him asking me if I wanted a glass of scotch and I thought I don’t drink scotch.  When my brother Chris moved to New York, he would ask my brother, so Chris have you been mugged yet?  This being said on a regular basis.  I remember the card games with his siblings.  I just remember him having a big smile.

I was thinking about my brother and crying. Then I pictured him on the other side. Jesus embraced him and said welcome home John. Well done my good and faithful servant. I have been waiting for you.    Pop is also waiting for you to play pinochle with him. so now I try not to be sad when I think of him but to be happy for him instead, my brother is safely home now.

Condolences to family and all the wonderful friends of John. He was a very caring and kind  person. He always tried to help anybody he could, and gave his time freely. On a personal note one  Memory I have is when he would come to California to visit he would do a handshake with my son Michael, and inside the handshake was always a dollar bill of some denomination We will all miss him dearly
