John J. Langan, Jr., 78, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Sunday November 8, 2020 at his home while surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, John lived there until moving to Toms River 49 years ago. John was a veteran of the US Army. He retired as a 3rd Vice President of Wells Fargo Bank in NJ. He was a communicant of St. Justin the Martyr RCC in Toms River and was a Financial Secretary and P.G.K. in 1992-1993 of the Knights of Columbus Council #4969. John thoroughly enjoyed barbecues, camping and spending time with his grandchildren.
John is survived by his wife of 55 years Theresa (nee McArdle) Langan; two sons, John and Christine Langan III of Howell, NJ and Brian Langan of Toms River; two daughters, Mary and Ted Bianchi of Toms River and Peggy and Joe Kennedy of Toms River, NJ; his brother William J. and Hope Langan of Cobb, CA; and he is also survived by 7 grandchildren, Theresa, Brendan, Lindsey, Katie, Noah, Jack and Cassidy.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday November 11, 2020 from 4 to 7 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Justin the Martyr RCC in Toms River, NJ. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Toms River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to Ocean of Love for Children with Cancer 1709 Rt. 37 East Toms River, NJ 08753.
