Jeffrey E. Brethauer, 59, of Forked River, passed away on February 1, 2018 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Born in Lakewood, Jeff lived in Toms River and Island Heights most of his life before moving to Forked River 5 years ago. He graduated from Toms River South High School in 1977 and was a member of Carpenters Local Union No. 253 for 25 years. Jeff was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan and loved spending time at the beach and the bogs.
Jeff is survived by his brother Leigh Brethauer and his wife Karen of Forked River; his sister Eileen Nulle of Forked River; and his nephews and niece, Jeb Brethauer, Kristin Rettino and Brett Nulle.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. Cremation will be private.
