Janet Gawrych

Janet Gawrych, 85, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on January 21, 2020 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Janet was born in Stelton, NJ to Faye and Jack Krasnick. She grew up in Plainfield before moving to Howell in 1966. In 1992, Janet and her husband Benjamin moved to warmer weather in Port St. Lucie, FL. She returned to New Jersey in 2015 to be closer to family and friends.

Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Faye and Jack Krasnick, and her sister Evelyn Saunders. Janet is survived by her husband of 54 years Benjamin, her daughter Lenore Kuter and husband Bill, her son Lenny Jackson and wife Maryann, her son Marc Gawrych, her sister Lorraine Newman, and her brother Richard Krasnick. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Michael Kuter and wife Anna, Gregory Kuter and wife Marion, Jeffrey Kuter, Steven Kuter and fiance Valerie, Valarie Busch, Taylor Schulz and husband John, Matthew Jackson, Mikayla Jackson and boyfriend Vinny Contino, Zaria and Alina Gawrych, her great-grandchildren, Kathryn, Floyd, Luke, Shae, Skylar and a baby girl on the way, and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is on Sunday, January 26, 2020 from 2-6 pm at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River NJ 08755 where a funeral service will take place at 5:00 PM. The family will also receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 9 – 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Brigadier General William C.
