Henry J. Prior

Henry J. Prior, 59, of Island Heights, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at Community Medical Center. He was born in Paterson, NJ to the late James and Shirley Prior. Henry was a longtime resident of Island Heights and had worked for the Borough of Island Heights. He was an avid fisherman and loved Island Beach State Park and the Toms River. Henry cherished time spent with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his sister Linda Reynolds.

Surviving are his siblings Jean England and spouse John England, Thomas Prior and spouse Monique Prior, James Prior and spouse Wendy Prior, Robert Prior and spouse Barbara Prior; his Nieces and Nephews Jason Prior and spouse Kaitlyn Prior, Jamie Prior, Nick England and spouse Melissa England, Sean Prior – (deceased), Timothy Prior, Moira Prior, Thea Berk and spouse Joe Berk, Diana England and spouse Shawn Goins, Michelle England, Kaely Prior, Madisyn Prior, Thomas Prior, Aralynn Sutherland and spouse Gordon Sutherland, Melissa Jerden and spouse Jonny Jerden and Robert Reynolds; Great Nieces and Nephews Aiden Prior, Brayden Prior, Colton Prior, Dallas Prior, Gwen England, Brody England, Shea Berk, Livi Berk, Kayla England, Austin Goins, Dominique D’Antico, Aila Sutherland and Everley Jerden.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 from 5 to 8 p.m.at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Friends of Island Beach State Park, PO Box 406, Seaside Park, NJ 08752 in memory of Henry.
