Helen J. Volkert

Helen J. Volkert, 92, of Lakewood, NJ, passed away on October 6, 2017, at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. She was born in Poland, and lived in Newark, NJ, and Lanoka Harbor, NJ, before moving to Lakewood. Helen enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and loved playing Bingo. She enjoyed knitting and was a wonderful cook. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother and will be dearly missed by her family.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband Herbert Volkert in 1996, and her children: Carol Valentin and Lisa Moore. She is survived by her two sons: Herbert Volkert and Donald Volkert; her daughter Brenda Robertazzi; her brother Edward Andreski; her sister Edna Pamula; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, from 2-4 & 7-9PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:30AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church in Toms River. Burial will be immediately following at St. Mary of Lake Cemetery in Lakewood.
