He was born on November 19, 1940 and grew up in Maplewood NJ. He spent many summers with his dad in Beachwood instilling a lifelong passion for boating, waterskiing, and everything fun in the water. He believed that family was more important than anything. He was loved by all who met him for his big heart and willingness to go out of his way to help anyone who needed it. He was capable of fixing everything and anything, and nothing was impossible - just hadn’t been done yet. He was patient and kind and helped many hopeless math students succeed when the lingering test looked daunting.
He achieved his Professional Engineering License which he maintained even after retirement. From Steven’s Institute, he received a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Master’s in Operations Research and completed course work for a PhD. He was proud of his employment of 10 years with Schlumberger as the Chief Executive Officer of the Fairchild Division, as he felt the most important asset in any company was its people. He retired as Chief Information Officer from Burrelles-Luce in 2017.
Surviving to cherish his memory is the love of his life of 60 years, Cathleen Wright Brown, his two daughters, Kathryn Warren and Kelly Fort, his son-in-laws, William Warren and Bryce Fort and grandchildren, Kassidy Warren, Elizabeth Warren, Connor Fort, and Kaitlyn Fort.
