Gretchen Wise, age 69, of Toms River passed away on August 13, 2023. She is survived by her loving Husband, Stanley (Jim), her Sister Pamela Capestro, her two Sons Christopher and his wife Cheryl of Milltown, NJ and Jeffrey and his wife Heather of Toms River, NJ, and her four grandchildren; Colin, Isabella, Nicholas, and Noah.
Born February 27, 1954, in Scotch Plains, NJ and attaining her degree at The College of New Jersey, she pursued a career of teaching. She found, however, her true calling as a wonderful mother of her two children: Christopher and Jeffrey. She provided a fantastic home full of love and support for everyone around her. She cherished family above all and absolutely adored her grandchildren.
Gretchen was a loving wife, devoted mother, and wonderful friend. She will be greatly missed by many.
A private ceremony celebrating Gretchen’s life will be held to close family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Gretchen wished for donations to be made to the Children’s Specialized Hospital of Toms River, NJ.
