

Gerald D. Mazzei, 84, of Seaside Heights, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, February 16, 2025. Born in New York City, NY Jay had lived in Byram, NJ until he retired to Seaside Heights 20 years ago. He was the Owner and Operator of The 76ers Waterloo Inn (formerly Jay's Stone House), Byram, NJ for 40 years.
Jay enjoyed gardening, visiting Atlantic City, fishing, cooking and watching his sports teams. Most importantly Jay loved spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his easy going spirit, his words of wisdom and support, his love of sweets and his great sense of humor.
Jay is survived by his loving children; his daughter, Regina Hosler, son Michael Mazzei, Jeffrey Mazzei, his eight grandchildren; Shane (Christa), Christopher, Daniel (Ann), Cameron, Maggie, Catherine, Michael, Zoey, and his two great grandsons, Hudson and James. He was predeceased by his son in law Tracy Hosler and his siblings; Dominic, Angelo and Sandy. Also surviving are a host of loving nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Jay's life will be held on Sunday, March 2, 2025 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ. A Service will begin promptly at 3:00 pm.
