George N. Jacob, 70, recently of Pine Beach, a longtime resident of Toms River, NJ, passed away on October 29th, 2018, at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, and lived in Woodhaven, Queens, NY, before moving to Toms River in 1986. George proudly served in the U.S. Army, graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science from John Jay College and worked as a Police Officer for the NYPD. George loved oldies, gardening, sports and was a “great” dancer. He was always the life of the party.
George was predeceased by his parents Charles and Gladys Jacob. He is survived by his loving wife Veronica of 48 years; his three daughters: Tricia Jacob, Danielle Jacob, and Tara Keenan and son-in-law Brian; and 3 grandchildren: Tyler, Briana, and Brian Jr. George is also survived by his brothers, Charles Jacob and his wife Maryann; James Jacob and his wife Mary; his sister Mary Bolbrock and her husband Al; and his extended family and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 4th, from 2 to 6 PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ 08753. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday at 10 AM at St. Joseph RC Church, 685 Hooper Avenue in Toms River. Cremation will be private.
