Frank Puglio, 94, of Toms River, passed away on June 14, 2016. Born in New Rochelle, NY, Frank lived in Maplewood for 45 years before moving to Toms River in 1988. He was a veteran of the US Army having served under General George S. Patton with the 4th Armor Division. As a member of the Elizabeth typographical union #150 he worked for the Newark News until 1971. He then was a letter carrier with the US Post Office in Maplewood. He was a member of the VFW Post #10185 in Holiday City.
Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years Julie (DiMeola) Puglio; his daughter, Mela Visicaro and her husband Joseph; his son, Anthony Puglio and his wife Jo Ann; his brother Vincenzo Puglio and also survived by 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visiting will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Saturday June 18, 2016 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 20, 2016 at 11:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. Burial will be at the NJ Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ.
