Frank Joseph Marino, 86, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Wednesday March 19, 2014 at Holiday Care Center in Toms River, NJ. Born in New York City, Frank lived in Brooklyn, NY for many years and Manalapan, NJ for 9 years before moving to Toms River 12 years ago. He was a US Veteran of the Merchant Marines. He worked as a cook for Moran Tugs Inc. in Perth Amboy, NJ. He was a communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River.
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Frances T. Surrusco Marino; two daughters, Josephine and her husband Anthony Farinella of Monroe Twp., NJ, Maria Pugliese and her husband Carl of Long Island, NY; his son Patrick Marino and his wife Phyllis of Staten Island, NY. He is also survived by three sisters, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 24, 2014 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River on Tuesday March 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
