Frank Delia, 75, of Toms River, NJ, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2016, at Bey Lea Village in Toms River. He was born in Newark, NJ, on April 22, 1941, and grew up in South Orange, NJ. At an early age he developed a passion for cars. Frank was known for customizing, designing paint schemes, and fine tuning cars for ultimate performance. He took tremendous pride in his mechanical abilities to be able to listen to an engine, diagnose the problem, and fix it properly. Frank was a great storyteller and loved sharing stories with his family and friends about his days on the race track, his love for music, movies, football, boxing, and for good food.
Frank is survived by his wife Diane; his son Frankie; his son Anthony and wife Molly; his daughter Nikki Holt and husband Kevin; and his most adored and loved grandchildren: Aiden and Lucia Holt, who called him Poppy. He is also survived by his sister Marie Longo and her husband Larry; his sister Ginger Hawtin and her husband Joe; his brother Vinnie Delia and wife Cindy; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the staff at Bey Lea Village and Meridian Hospice for the care they provided for Frank.
Visitation will be Friday, September 30, from 2 to 6PM, with a service at 5:00PM, at the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main Street, Toms River, NJ. Cremation will be private.
