AGE: 70 • Toms River
Frank Costello, 70, of Toms River, passed away Monday, May 30, 2011, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick. He was born and raised in Staten Island, N.Y. and moved to Toms River in 1985. Frank graduated from St. Peter's Boy's H.S. and attended the College of Staten Island. He was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration in Pomona for 21 years, retiring as a communication specialist six years ago. Frank was a Navy veteran during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his devoted wife of 44 years, Karen Moccia Costello; two loving daughters, Cindy Greet and Stephanie Mezza and her husband Ralph; his sister, Helen Van Riper; and his four cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Carley, Anthony and Michael. He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Veronica Costello; and his brother, William Costello.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 5 at Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home, 703 Main St., Toms River. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 6 at St. Joseph's Church, 685 Hooper Ave., Toms River. Burial will follow at Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
