Best Boss I ever had. Leadership at its finest.

To the Mahon family, my sincere condolences, I was out of the country for the summer only to return and hear of the passing of Sgt. Mahon. I was member of HESSI and Frank was the  Sergeant. I knew nothing about riding a motorcycle but I was from Jersey City N.J. and that was all he needed to know. SGT. Mahon took me riding many days and taught me how to   ride. I will never forget that beautiful friendship.

Frank Mahon, was one of the nicest people I ever had the privilege to work with, not just a good boss but a great guy and I learned a lot from him

Dear Cookie,  children,  and all family members,

             Our hearts and deepest sympathy go out to you all  on the loss of your most dear and loving father and grandfather, Frank.  Frank was a most kindhearted and generous man as well as a fun loving person.  Among our fond memories was watching him on the dance floor on several occasions.  He was a real inspiration for us all to join in the fun even if we could not match his dancing skills!  We had the pleasure of being with Frank and Cookie on some family occasions, as well as sharing a table at the Ferris/Downtown Jersey City Great Reunion  at the Casino-in-the-Park  many years ago.  Frank will be greatly missed by many of us, for sure.   We feel sure that Frank is with Our Lord in heavenly peace.   May his memory and spirit bring you all comfort and blessings.

I came on the job with frank. As a matter of fact today July 9 is our anniversary date. July 9, 1965. Frank loved to ride bikes and was a great boss who was well respected by his peers as well as subordinates. Time goes by so fast. I still remember sitting in our academy class. Rest In Peace my friend and dear brother in blue.

My Dearest Uncle Frank,
	You were the second man in my life to teach me about unconditional love.  You loved me so big. My favorite childhood memories are of summer Sundays with you on Stafford Avenue, swimming in your pool during the day, and listening to you and my dad belt out the old doo-wops from the "Doo Wop Shop with Don K Reed" at night. My childhood would not have been the same without you. May your legacy of love for your family and friends live on in your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews and all who have been been blessed enough to call you "theirs".  Your beautiful heart and joyous spirit will be missed by us all and remembered fondly in all of our memories of you. I never got to meet Grandma, but I can almost hear her say, "Wellie, Wellie, Wellie... look who's here" as she greeted you at the gates of heaven. The miles between my heart and yours are so much shorter now.  I have so many great things to tell you. I hope that I made you proud. I will love and miss you always...

Frank Mahon..there are not enough words to express the sorrow and sadness you leave behind.  Family was always first and  the most important,  great husband, father and grandfather with nothing but the best for those you loved.  You overcame so much and never let anything hold you down, so much to be learned from your strength and values.  My children couldn't ask for a better grandfather than you. It saddens me that your time has been cut short , you will be missed dearly.  You put up a great fight, gave it your all in the name of love.  Your journey is now pain free and relieved of any suffering. You earned your wings...fly in peace.   Going forward will be difficult for all who love you, but you will never be gone, love can never be removed from anyone's heart.    Will cherish the memories,  loved you always,

Frank was always smiling and so happy whenever you would walk in the room to go say hi. Pleasant and laughing and always complimentary. I also loved the way him and cookie could dance like professionals. Rest in peace Frank

Having been close friends with Cookie and Frank for 59 years  I cannot begin to choose a favorite memory  since there have been so many.  The dances, listening to oldies, the Jersey Shore ,  Catskills , NYC for the Lighting of the Christmas Tree , Crabbing in a Row Boat and Cookie being terrified etc.,etc.
So  I am saying what we always said to one another when we ended our get togethers and that is" TATA " Francis.  Mike will be there to greet you.

My first squad sergeant in the NYPD. You were a great leader, a mentor, and a friend who taught me much about police work and about the NYPD. You made my first years on the job interesting and rewarding. Driving you, working with and for you remains one of the highlights of my career. You are one of a kind, boss. Rest In Peace.

I first met Frank when he was a Police Officer in Mid Town South when he played Basketball  at the Police Academy. He was a big sports fan He loved the Giants Football, NY Rangers, NY Knicks and the Dodgers. When he  retired he came to New Jersey and became President of the Jersey Shore 10-13 which he held for five years. After which He made me President. He was a Kind and Gentle man most of the time. He will be missed. May Almighty God Welcome him with open arms.

Frank was a great friend and it was my honor to serve under him, when he was the JS 10-13 President, as his Secretary - the joke was that I would sit on his lap and take a memo. All kidding aside, my prayers go out to him and his family. If I know Frank, he is probably holding muster in Heaven for those of our members who have passed away.

There are so many great memories from throughout the years ! Too many to list ! But a couple that always stuck with me is his joking humor that never ceased and how incredible he & Cookie would dance together, especially to Old Time Rock & Roll. They knew each other’s moves & flowed perfectly together. I’ll always remember those times ! Frank was such a joy to be around & he will be greatly missed ! 

TO COOKIE N FAMILY...I WISH TO EXTEND MY HEARTFELT CONDOLENCES.

FRANK  MAHON , A DEVOTED HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER N GREAT GRANDFATHER.  ALWAYS FAMILY FIRST. ALTHOUGH HE FACED OBSTACLES  IN HIS OWN LIFE HE NEVER LOST SIGHT OF HIS MAIN GOAL...A HAPPY FAMILY.  HE HAS MY RESPECT AND HIS LOSS WILL SADDEN THE HEARTS OF  ALL WHO KNEW HIM.  HE FOUGHT THE HARD FIGHT..NOW HE CAN REST.  GOD BLESS HIM N KEEP HIM SAFE ON HIS NEXT JOURNEY.
