Evelyn C. Tucker

Evelyn C. Tucker(Connor) 87 of Toms River passed away Thursday July 21st, 2011 at Fountain View Care Center, Lakewood. Born in Paterson she resided in Parlin and Garfield prior to moving to Toms River in 1977. Evelyn graduated from Ocean County Community College and worked as a secretary for Seaside Heights Schools. She was also a volunteer at Community Medical Center, a home health aid in the toms River area. She was a church organist for many years in Paterson. Enjoyed music especially the piano and organ. Surviving are her husband of 66 years Stephen Tucker; daughters Maureen and husband Ronald Kalata of West Caldwell and Sharon and husband Lee Casey of Spotswood; Grandchildren Stephen and wife Karyl Casey and Sean and fiancée Tamra; sister Joyce and husband David Martin; and nephew Robert and wife Barbara Carson. Visitation will be Sunday July 24th, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be 10am Monday July 25th, 2011 at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home. Interment will follow at The New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, Wrightstown.
