Elizabeth Parisi, 92, of Toms River, passed away on Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 at home. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she lived there until moving to Toms River in 1952. Along with her late husband, Anthony, Elizabeth owned Anthony’s Card and Gifts in Toms River for 18 years, retiring in 1979. Elizabeth was a member of the Garden of Pleasant Plains Homeowners Association and she enjoyed Bocce and Shuffle Board. She was also a parishioner of St. Luke’s Church in Toms River.
She was predeceased by her husband Anthony A. Parisi in 1999. Surviving are her son Anthony Parisi and his wife Gail of Toms River; her daughter Lucille Burger and her husband George of Toms River; a sister Catherine Vitagliano of Staten Island, NY; four grandchildren Alison Parisi, Amanda Macho and her husband Andrew, Kristina Caporaso and her husband Albert, and Megan Gnagey and her husband Brian; and 3 cherished great grandchildren Albert S. Caporaso Guliana Caporaso and Aaron Gnagey.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 a.m., on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at St. Luke’s Church, 1674 Old Freehold Road, Toms River followed by burial at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River. Anderson and Campbell Funeral Home in Toms River is in charge of arrangements.
